The organizers of the symposium have secured rooms at the (newly renovated) Clarion Hotel in downtown Raleigh. The hotel is just under 2 miles from Tompkins Hall, which is the university building on Hillsborough St. in which the symposium will be hosted. The walk from the hotel to Tompkins is a straight shot, and taxis are readily available.

Singles $65/night, and doubles $75/night (taxes in addition)
Instructions
for reserving rooms:
The block of rooms is reserved from Thursday, Nov. 4 to Sunday, Nov. 7. A
smaller number of rooms has been reserved for Thursday night because some
participants will arrive Friday morning. Reservations should be made under
the group name "NCSU Converage Symposium" (the hotel misspelled the name).
The following individuals, who are having part of their stay funded by the conference, will reserve their rooms under the group name "NCSU English Department: Single": Chuck Tryon, Thomas Peele, Tim Mayers, Jenny Edbauer, Bradley Dilger, Collin Brooke. Jenny Bay and Thomas Rickert, please use the group name "NCSU English Department: Double."
Check-in:
3-4 pm
Check-out: 12pm, but you can request 2pm by calling the front desk.
Amenities/Extras:
The hotel provides free continental breakfast and a free newspaper (USA Today).
A small workout room with elliptical machines and stationary bikes is available.
The hotel is in walking distance from many sites in downtown Raleigh (museums,
bars, music clubs, restaurants, parks)
Travel from airport:
The airport is 25 minutes from the hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel does
not have an airport shuttle. According to the front desk at the hotel, a
taxi will cost a single occupant approx. $35. About two weeks before the
conference David Rieder will provide more information about alternative means of
transportation from the airport to the hotel.
